Q: Who is Scotty G?
A: My real name is Scott Gorman and I was on the radio (103X) for close to 12 years. I’ve been a professional DJ in the Pee Dee area since 1996 and I’m bald.

Q: What kind of events do you DJ?
A: Pretty much anything that requires music and entertainment. Weddings, receptions, birthdays, reunions, anniversarys, corporate, school events, proms, holiday, and more.

Q: Where do you travel to?
A: Based out of the Pee Dee, I can cover North and South Carolina very well. I’ve even traveled to New York for one of my clients.

Q: What if someone has already booked you on the date I need you.
A: Even though I may not be available, I know other professional DJs in the area that could possibly help. I can help save you time by referring others.

Q: How much do you charge?
A: This varies from event to event. I customize each individual’s event and cater to their budget, location, and needs.

Q: What equipment do you provide?
A: Everything I use is professional DJ equipment down to the mixer, digital music, booth, speakers, sub-woofer, dance floor lighting and effects.

Q: Do I need to provide any equipment for you, like a table?
A: Nope. All that’s needed is space and a power outlet.

Q: Do you carry backup equipment?
A: Yes. Anything can happen at any time and it’s good practice to be prepared.

Q: What do you wear to your events?
A: Nice dress clothes, appropriate for the occasion.

Q: Do you charge for set up or tear down?
A: No. You pay for the time the music starts until the music ends.

Q: When do you arrive at the venue?
A: I like to be there 2 hours before the start of the event. This gives me plenty of time to set up and test everything out.

Q: What kind of music do you play?
A: Anything and everything that’s family friendly and radio edits. It can be from the 60s to current. Country to dance. Fast to slow. There’s always a variety to keep people happy and entertained.

Q: How many songs do you have on hand?
A: Hundreds of thousands. Plenty of the most popular music to keep the party going.

Q: Can I request specific music to be played?
A: Absolutely! Anything to make your event custom and special.

Q: Do you allow requests at the event?
A: You bet! As long as it’s appropriate, it can be played.

Q: Do you have a contract to sign?
A: Yes. Any professional DJ will have a contract and allow you to see a sample before signing one. If they don’t, it’s a red flag not to use them.

Q: I’m having a wedding and don’t have a wedding planner. How can you help make the reception go as planned?
A: You just enjoy your special day and mingle with your guests. I’ll make sure that things like the introductions, cake cutting, bouquet/garter toss, or anything else, are properly executed throughout the reception.

Q: What is the payment policy?
A: A deposit then remainder of the total due at the event.

Q: What kind of payment do you take?
A: Cash or check is preferred. Credit Card is accepted with an additional 2.75%.

Q: Do you have any tips for an outside event?
A: Yes, rent a large professional tent. You’ll want to protect your friends and family in case of any unforeseen weather that might occur.
